A research and development pharmaceutical center will be created in Vitebsk

In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 357 dated May 15, OJSC "Savings Bank "Belarusbank" will sell the capital construction owned by it in Vitebsk at Frunze Avenue, 77, for a price of more than 1.5 million rubles to Vitebsk State Medical University. This is the former administrative and production building of OJSC "BelVitunipharm". The transaction is planned to be completed by March 1, 2019.

Based on the building, the first Belarusian medico-pharmaceutical cluster "Union "Medicine and Pharmacy – Innovative Projects" will organize a research center for pharmacy.

As explained by Alexey Sychev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Union, the future center should become unique for Belarus both in terms of equipment and the range of tasks to be solved within it.

The cluster was created with the aim of forming a scientific and technical base that would satisfy any request for the development of a full cycle of drug production, from the synthesis of a molecule and active substance, conducting preclinical studies to developing production technologies, conducting bioequivalence or clinical trials, and pilot production of the product.

The company SOOO "Nativita", headed by Alexey Sychev, is ready to act as a partner of VSMU and participate financially in both the modernization of the building for the specifics of future activities and the equipping of the center with equipment. The forms of participation of a private manufacturer in the project are currently being discussed.
