This point of view was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Igor Voitov. Today, he held a reception for citizens at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Inventors and entrepreneurs mastering new technologies came to the reception of the head of the state committee. As Igor Voitov noted, it was a useful meeting not only for him as the head of the department, but also for the local officials who were present at it. "Visitors raised interesting issues on the development of small-scale power engineering, oil regeneration, and the production of innovative products, which should be carefully studied with the involvement of specialists," he believes.

However, it must be clearly understood that each proposal must be economically calculated, Igor Voitov emphasized. "New projects must bring maximum returns. There are many ideas now, but each requires a clear answer: how will we earn money," he stated. Currently, the issue is that all projects that are being implemented should have a high added value and a payback period of no more than 4-5 years. In such cases, there are no problems with financial support, neither from the state committee nor from other departments, Igor Voitov assured. -0-
