The top ten leaders of Pridvinye and the top three designers have been named
The regional competition "Best Manager of the Year" helps identify excellent managers. Recently, during a regular meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Employers' Association, which addressed the issue of improving product quality and competitiveness, commemorative signs and diplomas were awarded to the best managers of Vitebsk enterprises based on their performance in 2012. As for the winners,
heading business entities located in the districts, they will be honored locally – at the regional branches of the Regional Employers' Association.
Vladimir Turavinov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Employers' Association, noted that the selection of winners was based on several criteria, including the economic performance indicators of the enterprises, as well as the personal qualities of the candidates. This year, 10 managers were awarded the laureate title – Evgeny Ezersky (State Enterprise for the Transportation and Supply of Liquefied Gases), Vladimir Rogovnev (Yudzhen LLC, Novopolotsk), Vitaly Oselets (Communal Unitary Enterprise Vitebsk Water Utility "Orshavodokanal"), Sergey Romanenko (Branch "ZhBIK Combine" of Open Joint Stock Company "Orsha Construction Trust No. 18"), Valery Dulinsky (Open Joint Stock Company "Gluboksky MKC"), Vladimir Sazon (Communal Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk Confectionery Combine "Vitba"), Petr Prizhitomsky (Open Joint Stock Company "Keramika"), Andrey Mashchenko (Unitary Production Enterprise "Vitebchanka"), Sergey Starovoytov (Republican Unitary Enterprise "Belorusneft-Vitebskoblnefteprodukt"), as well as the only woman in the male company – Svetlana Sinkevich (Unitary Production Enterprise "Polotsk-Torg").
These managers care about the fate of their enterprises and the people who work there. For example, four years ago, when Andrey Mashchenko was not the director of UP "Vitebchanka", 95 percent of the products manufactured here were tolling orders. Today, this figure has decreased to 70 percent. In the near future, it is planned to reduce it to 50 percent.
– 2012 was quite successful for us, although there were certain
difficulties, – says Andrey Mashchenko. – But the team made every effort to keep the enterprise afloat. More than 3 billion rubles were invested in the modernization and technical re-equipment of UP "Vitebchanka". Currently, the equipment wear is only 28 percent. Therefore, this year we will improve technological processes, work on reducing the cost of production, and promote our products in foreign markets. At the same time, Andrey Sergeevich does not rule out the possibility of opening a new production at "Vitebchanka", even if it is not related to the main activity of the enterprise.
It should be noted that at the meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers, not only the best managers of Pridvinye were honored. The names of the winners of the first regional competition "Best Designer of the Year" were announced. These are Lyudmila Yatskovskaya (leading designer of ZAO "Svitanka"), Alexander Alekseev (head of Design Bureau No. 2 of OAO "VZEP"), and Nikolay Suboch (designer of UP "Zarya").
After the official award ceremony, an excursion to the workshops of the Vitebsk Confectionery Factory "Vitba" was organized for the participants of the meeting. This particular enterprise was not chosen by chance for the event, which discussed the issue of improving product quality and competitiveness. Firstly, the director of KUP "VKK "Vitba", Vladimir Sazon, is among the best managers of the region. Secondly, the Vitebsk Confectionery Factory has already added several prestigious awards, including international ones, to its collection of achievements this year. This eloquently testifies that there is no doubt about the high quality of the products manufactured here. The development of new sales markets serves as confirmation of this. Products under the "Vitba" trademark have been well-received by consumers in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Kazakhstan. Trial batches have been sent to Estonia, the United Arab Emirates, and the USA. Negotiations are underway with Israel.
