Promising territories for individual housing construction in Vitebsk have been identified in the area of the suburban village of Olgovo, and as a reserve site for a more distant future – the area upstream of the river beyond the under-construction HPP near Vitebsk (including near Ulanovichi), which is considered one of the cleanest areas of the suburbs.

As reported to "Vitebskiye Vesti" by the chief architect of the regional center, Vitaly Dubik, documentation has already been developed for the Olgovo site, and investors will be involved in its development. It is planned to develop this territory, as well as the reserve site near Ulanovichi, by analogy with the new Aksanovka microdistrict. The construction of mainly two- and three-story cottage-type houses and townhouses is planned there. The estimated population of the microdistrict will exceed 1.2 thousand people.

Vitebsk LLC "StroyTorgService" acts as the investor and developer of Aksanovka. The total area of the land plot for the microdistrict is almost 90 hectares, more than half of which will be occupied by residential buildings. Potential new residents will be offered several types of cottages and townhouses; individual houses with a total area of 140 sq. m to 300 sq. m in two- and three-story versions will be built in the microdistrict. A total of 358 residential buildings are planned to be erected. In addition, the construction of a multifunctional public and commercial complex and a kindergarten is envisaged. As for public buildings, the final decision on them will be made by the city executive committee, which acts as the customer for the construction.
