An illegal batch of alcohol-containing liquid worth almost Br6 million seized in Vitebsk

A large batch of alcohol-containing liquid has been seized in Vitebsk, the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department told a BELTA correspondent. Traffic police officers of the Internal Affairs Department, together with the economic crimes unit of the Zheleznodorozhny District Department of Internal Affairs, detained VAZ-21083 and VAZ-2105 cars driven by men born in 1962 and 1960 on Komsomolskaya Street. In the cars, the drivers were transporting 955 bottles and 5 canisters of alcohol-containing liquid with a total volume of 595 liters, not marked with Belarusian excise stamps in the prescribed manner. The cost of the illegal cargo is estimated at almost Br6 million. The liquid has been seized. An investigation is underway.-0-
