Illegal cargo of non-ferrous metal worth over Br10 million detained in Gorodok district

An illegal shipment of non-ferrous metal worth over Br10 million was seized in the Gorodok district, the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate told a BELTA correspondent. During operational-search activities, employees of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate detained a DAF truck on the Gorodok-Selishche highway, driven by an unemployed individual born in 1986. The young man was attempting to export about 6.6 tons of non-ferrous metal scrap worth over Br10 million to Russia. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the driver. The illegal cargo has been confiscated. An investigation is underway.-0-
