A German delegation arrived in Polotsk to summarize the results of the project "Polotsk Writes for Friedrichshafen" and launch a new initiative
A German delegation from a sister city visited Polotsk from December 5 to 8. The main goal of the visit was to summarize the results of the original project "Polotsk Writes for Friedrichshafen".
It involved publishing materials about various aspects of life in the oldest city of Belarus in the German media. For a year, students of the Faculty of History and Philology of Polotsk State University wrote articles in German and sent them to the project coordinator from Friedrichshafen. Now that all materials have been printed, the foreign friends have expressed a desire to reward the young journalists. Moreover, there is a reason for this: the German side highly appreciated the level of training of our students.
The guests also visited the Polotsk College of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov and the District Center for Children and Youth, where they held "round tables" with students. During the discussions, a new project "Friedrichshafen Writes for Polotsk" was initiated. The cooperation between the sister cities has been ongoing for over 20 years, and each initiative strengthens these relations and improves mutual understanding between people.
