Equipment, without which it is impossible to do without during the sowing campaign, is continuously flowing from the workshops of the Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant to the farms of the region.
According to the plant director Viktor Masalov, over four months – since the start of the repair season – the plant has received 515 engines, 19 of which are for high-power tractors. During this period, 479 have been repaired, and 417 have been shipped, including 10 "Detroit" engines. 8 out of 11 combined tillage and seeding units under repair have already been returned to customers after repair, and another 2 six-meter seeding units are ready for sale. 3 out of 7 "Zircon" seeding units have been repaired and returned to farms.
The share of engine repairs is, of course, decreasing as the machine and tractor fleet of agricultural organizations is updated with powerful high-power machinery. VMRZ mainly receives engines from the Yaroslavl and Minsk Motor Plants, as well as from "Detroit" and "Deutz" companies, and gearboxes for K-700, K-701, and "Belarus-3022" tractors. The plant workers primarily labor for the needs of the region's agro-industrial complex, although they also accept orders from other regions of the country and from the Russian Federation. The enterprise's employees minimize repair times, understanding that the timeliness and quality of sowing depend on this.
