Several hundred delegates from all regions of the country gathered at the forum "Belarus. Youth. Heritage" in Vitebsk
Modern youth is full of fresh ideas and creative solutions. This opinion was expressed at the dialogue platform "Youth of Belarus – Remembering the Past, Moving into the Future" by the second secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM, Alexander Prokhorov. He is convinced that today it is necessary to improve outdated approaches and, in a discussion format, to address current youth issues and hear everyone's opinion.
— Of course, today there are issues that require prompt intervention and closer attention, both from government bodies and the leading youth organization, — believes Alexander Prokhorov. — We have developed a new strategy for the organization's development. Priority areas include civic-patriotic education, the student team movement, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, development of the volunteer movement, work in the information space, legal education, and many others.
The format of the meeting allowed everyone to express their point of view and exchange opinions. Activists of the youth organization spoke about humanitarian aid to refugees from Ukraine, employment, youth entrepreneurship, and more. Vitebsk residents presented several of their projects.
Summing up, the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, Vladimir Babichev, noted that modern youth wants to see their country peaceful and prosperous, and also to be proud of their origin and history.
— I can confidently say that the youth of Belarus remembers the past and confidently moves into the future, — said Vladimir Babichev. — We are looking for ways to direct the youth potential towards creation. We must give credit to the young men and women who, despite everything, are looking for solutions to emerging issues. We live in a modern format and are writing a new history.
