Nikolai Sherstnev familiarized himself with the progress of Tolochin's preparation for "Dazhynki"

The process of renovating the district center for the traditional celebration of agricultural workers became the occasion for an on-site meeting of the regional executive committee, during which all attendees saw: the approach to changes in the city is functional, and with thoughts not so much about the holiday as about the residents of Tolochin, for whom this is a stimulus for further development.

– I remember we decided together whether "Dazhynki" were needed, as the economic situation is not easy, not up to celebrating. But today I am convinced that the right decision was made. These renovations open up prospects for the region, they are important for local residents, they are needed for the future of the city – for youth and children, – noted Nikolai Sherstnev.

Currently, work is underway at 90 sites. The head of the region visited the main ones, where he was able to verify that everything is being done according to plan. In particular, at the Tolochin District Hospital, windows have already been replaced and the polyclinic has undergone thermal renovation, and an X-ray room and a hemodialysis department have been equipped. Educational institutions are being repaired – secondary schools No. 1, 2. The reconstruction of the restaurant is underway, including the replacement of utilities and ventilation systems, facade renovation, and the arrangement of a pizzeria and a banquet hall. The House of Culture is nearing completion, where new furniture, sound and lighting equipment will appear. A major overhaul of 22 residential buildings is in progress, and in addition, the improvement of courtyard areas with the installation of slides and other structures for children is planned.

Much attention has been paid to the improvement of the central city square and the park. The Alley of Heroes – natives of Tolochin region – is being renovated here, the construction of a light and music fountain has begun, and the creation of a cozy place for newlyweds, the placement of benches, small architectural and play structures are planned. According to the designers' concept, this place should become a cozy recreation area for mothers with children, for youth and older people, and should be attractive to guests of the region.

As Alexander Atyasov noted, a total of about 40 billion rubles have been invested in the facilities in Tolochin to date, and funds are provided for their completion.

– It is very important that the work is carried out within the scheduled deadlines, we are preparing for the holiday without rush, everyone is responsible for the renovation of the facilities, and there is no doubt that the city will be ready on time, – Nikolai Sherstnev is confident.
