Nikolay Sherstnev visited the Vitebsk private enterprise "NOVY VEK spring"
The company "NOVY VEK spring" was founded in October 2011 and specializes in the production of tension and compression springs, as well as other components for agricultural machinery – more than 100 types of products in total. Entering the components market, its founders paid attention to a niche with high potential and solvent demand. As a result, today "NOVY VEK spring" products are used to equip most of the forage harvesting and soil-cultivating machines manufactured in Belarus, including the holdings "Bobruiskagromash" and "Amkodor", and a promising partner is OJSC "Gomselmash".
— The head of state spoke about the development of such interaction at the VI All-Belarusian People's Congress. Seemingly simple and unremarkable products – springs. But they are widely used in agricultural machinery manufacturing. The enterprise has found its niche, ensured quality, and as a result, there are orders, sales markets have been worked out, and most importantly, the average salary in 2020 was almost 1.6 thousand rubles, and in the first two months of 2021 – already about 2 thousand rubles. So, despite the difficulties and the pandemic, it is possible to engage in business and deliver results. To do this, it is necessary to competently choose a field of activity, work out sales, and also work qualitatively and efficiently, — noted the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Oleg Matskevich.
Even in 2020, a difficult year for manufacturers, "NOVY VEK spring" increased its production volume by approximately 30%, and export growth was about 14%.
The company's anniversary year began with a landmark event — in February, PE "NOVY VEK spring" was registered as a resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk" with a project for modernizing the import-substituting production of components for agricultural machinery. It envisages increasing production volume, expanding the range of spring tines, as well as tension and compression springs for machine-building enterprises. This will be achieved through technical re-equipment and modernization of production, and the acquisition of modern high-performance equipment. Over 3 years, the investment volume will amount to about 500 thousand euros.
— Large factories come to us, realizing that it is not worth engaging in the production of components for their own needs, they can get rid of unproductive costs and concentrate their efforts on their most important tasks, by transferring the production of components to us, the high quality of which we will ensure, — noted Dmitry Barsukov, Director of "NOVY VEK spring".
Another important task for the Vitebsk company is the diversification of exports and the increase in the volume of supplies to foreign markets. Today, more than half of the products are supplied to partners from Russia. "NOVY VEK spring" is an associated member of the Russian association "Rosspetsmash", which unites manufacturers of agricultural, construction, and road machinery, trailers, and semi-trailers. The implementation of the investment project as a resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk" will contribute to the expansion of the export potential of the private manufacturer.
