Nikolai Sherstnev took part in the opening of a modernized meat processing plant at OJSC "Shaiterovo" in the Verkhnedvinsk district
OJSC "Shaiterovo" is a successful enterprise; year after year, it harvests high yields of grain and leguminous crops and leads in milk yield per cow. The farm is engaged in pig breeding, cattle breeding, and meat processing. It develops in various directions, striving to reach a modern technological level by creating a closed cycle: production – processing - trade.
The correctness of the chosen strategy and tactics of the enterprise's economic activity was assessed by the Regional Executive Committee, which was emphasized at the opening of the plant by Nikolai Nikolaevich Sherstnev, who specifically noted that using the example of "Shaiterovo," the region will teach other agricultural producers how to conduct business.
The staff of OJSC "Shaiterovo" has always produced high-quality products, and now they are equally skillfully mastering their processing and sales. It is they who bring the main profit to the farm. The director of the enterprise, Mikhail Gumnenkov, provided the following statistics: for 7 months, 9 million 348 thousand rubles were earned from the sale of own production, 1.5 million rubles of profit were obtained with a profitability level of 25%. On average, the profitability for the farm during this period was 17%.
During the modernization, the meat processing plant was equipped with the most modern energy-saving equipment, thereby increasing its capacity by almost 3 times. If previously 2 tons of meat were processed here per day, now it is 7 tons.
- We can do even more, - is confident the workshop head Yuri Borysenok. - Everything will be determined by demand. We can offer the customer more than 60 types of products in 9 branded stores and one auto parts store. Our brand "Shaiterovsky kumpyachok" has been appreciated by residents of Polotsk and Novopolotsk, Verkhnedvinsk district, and customers of the "Dobronom", "Evroopt", "Dionis" retail chains. The consumer prefers our chilled environmentally friendly products - we never use frozen raw materials and use only natural spices, - specified Yuri Pavlovich.
Focusing on current demand, OJSC "Shaiterovo" plans to open at least 6 more stores and recoup the 5 million rubles invested in the workshop modernization with its own funds within one year. The calculation is realistic, based on existing capabilities and prices, emphasized the farm director. Revenue from expanding the product range and increasing the volume of processing and sales at the initial stage promises to bring 1 million 600 thousand rubles per month, of which 300 thousand rubles will be an increase. The production of zelts alone, for which offal will be used (previously sold raw), will allow to increase profit by 1 million rubles per year and increase profitability to 30%.
Striving for zero-waste production, the workshop has also mastered the production of pet food for cats and dogs, which is also in high demand. In short, the workshop modernization promises new bonuses for the enterprise.
The hosts showed the guests the production facilities, introduced them to the technology, and demonstrated the products ready for shipment. There were boxes filled with smoked products and sausages in the refrigerators. And soon, reported Mikhail Petrovich, the farm will offer customers sausages, boiled sausages, and new types of semi-finished products. So, there is indeed something for other agricultural enterprises to learn from the Shaiterovo staff.
In addition to successful pig farming, the agricultural enterprise is also developing beef and milk production. Next year, it is planned to complete the construction of a new dairy farm for 400 head in the village of Zhiguli. At the construction site of the dairy farm, Nikolai Sherstnev discussed livestock management technologies with the chairman of the district executive committee, Vasily Shilova, and Mikhail Gumenkov, and proposed creating a truly modern milk production facility equipped with robots.
Accompanied by district and farm leaders, Nikolai Sherstnev inspected the organization of winter sowing in the fields of "Shaiterovo" and wished them successful completion. The head of the region then visited OJSC "Uzhitsa-Agro" and KUP SHP "Kohanovichi," where reconstruction and construction of livestock facilities are also underway, and familiarized himself with the progress of autumn field work.
Everywhere, meeting with people and discussing the need to increase the efficiency of agricultural production, Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized the importance of improving the social sphere.
The consumer market is saturated with food and industrial goods; now, every extra ruble, he stressed, should be invested in the social sphere to improve people's lives. And in this regard, active work is being carried out in Verkhnedvinsk. Last year, KUP SHP "Kohanovichi," with funds earned from a district субботник (voluntary work day), repaired a vacant building that now houses the club and library. They are visited by over 100 people who engage in creative activities and hold events, as reported by Valentina Lopatochkina, the director of the House of Culture.
The future cultural center in Osveya is also in the pre-commissioning stage. The building has been renovated, and the process of equipping it with furniture and equipment has begun. The library has already moved into its section. A housewarming is expected soon.
Summing up the visit, Nikolai Sherstnev noted that the Verkhnedvinsk district has a strong leadership team that knows how to set goals and achieve their implementation, a system for agricultural development has been established, and much is being done to improve the lives of its residents.
