Nikolai Sherstnev held an on-site reception of citizens at JSC Vitebskhlebprom

– In early spring and rainy autumn, we are cut off from the world due to huge puddles on the road, – factory worker Irina Markevich, who lives on Lesnaya Street in Sosnovka, Vitebsk region, told the head of the region. The woman believes the problem could be solved by backfilling certain sections of the road, especially since similar work was carried out in 2013 after an appeal to the "hotline", but time has passed, and the issue has become relevant again. There are no global difficulties in this case, the chairman of the regional executive committee also believes. The road will be repaired under suitable weather conditions.

The issue of construction and commissioning of a polyclinic in the Yug-7 microdistrict was again raised at the reception with the head of the region. Nikolay Nikolayevich explained to Nadezhda Starovoytova that this year it is planned to comprehensively complete the construction of many started healthcare facilities, funding sources are currently being worked out (Chinese investments, through the Development Bank, attracting budget funds), and assured that the polyclinic will be built in 2018.

Igor Antiforov also turned to the regional leadership for help. The man received a plot for construction in Andronovichi, built a house, and laid many utilities, but the issue with the water supply has not yet been resolved. Pipes have been laid, but he, like many of his neighbors, cannot connect to the central water supply. The problem, as competent specialists assured at the reception, will be eliminated in August, when the construction of engineering systems and landscaping is completed. The relevant documents are currently under approval, and funds (about 80 thousand rubles) will be found.

– All the main issues that ordinary citizens face, whether it's a pothole, a puddle, a bad road, or water supply malfunctions, are on the surface and should be resolved at the primary level, – noted Nikolay Sherstnev, explaining that due to

of the irresponsibility of local specialists, people are forced to apply to higher authorities. – We will combat such manifestations through feedback. This is why "direct lines" and personal receptions of citizens are held. We will use people to influence those who are supposed to restore order. I would like everyone in the region to be heard, – emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev in a conversation with journalists.

After the reception of citizens, the head of the region went to the production workshops of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom". The General Director of the enterprise, Mikhail Rog, and Nikolai Sherstnev discussed options for reducing the cost of production.

– It will be lower where the entire technological process from the creation of the product to its sale is within one structure. The development strategy of the Vitebsk region lies in the creation of such units. Then we will find ways to reduce costs, and the product will be competitive, with minimal cost. Currently, bakeries are state-owned, but we will raise the issue of returning them to communal ownership in order to combine them with grain processing plants, integrate them into structures so that one owner is responsible for grain production, its processing, baking products, and sales in retail chains, – said Nikolai Sherstnev.
