Nikolai Sherstnev: over 60% of the Vitebsk region's harvest was formed by agro-industrial associations

Over 60% of the grain harvest in the Vitebsk region (622 thousand tons) was formed by agro-industrial associations, stated today at the regional festival "Dazhynki" in Vitebsk, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev.
According to the head of the region, the current agricultural year has turned out better than the previous one. "Vitebsk region was the first among other regions to fulfill the state order for the supply of food grain. A quarter of the harvest was formed by two districts that surpassed the hundred-thousand mark: Orsha district threshed 125 thousand tons, Vitebsk district - 118 thousand tons of grain. Tolochin district (87 thousand tons) and Dubrovno district (74 thousand tons) made a significant contribution to the total harvest. Over 60% of the grain harvest in the Vitebsk region (622 thousand tons) was formed by agro-industrial associations," emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev.
During this year's harvest campaign, 1172 crews worked. Among them were 173 youth crews and 55 family crews.
