Nikolai Sherstnev: "During the preparation for the "Dazhynki" festival, Verkhnedvinsk has been transformed"

Verkhnedvinsk has been transformed during the preparations for "Dazhynki". This opinion was expressed in the current capital of the holiday by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, at the ceremony honoring the best agricultural workers of the region.

"Thanks to the transformations, the current capital of "Dazhynki" has acquired the features of a modern city. More than 200 facilities have been reborn. Much has been done to make people want to live here, start families, and work," emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev.

According to him, during the preparation period, the buildings of the Central District Library and the Children's Art School were renovated. The "Impuls" sports and recreation complex was opened. A 12-apartment residential building, built in record time - in 4.5 months, also became a gift for the residents of the district center. The central Jubilee Square, the city park, and the Dvina embankment have acquired a new look. A new fountain and original floral arrangements created by the participants of the regional professional competition in landscape design, which took place in Verkhnedvinsk, have added attractiveness to the capital of "Dazhynki". The quality of the street and road network has noticeably improved. Local residents also contributed to the improvement by landscaping and decorating their home territories.

"After the holiday, the renovation of the Verkhnedvinsk district will continue, as what has been done will remain for the people for years to come," emphasized the chairman of the regional executive committee. Verkhnedvinsk has passed the baton of the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki" to Braslav. This obliges the district center to hold the agricultural forum at the same high level next year. "With joint efforts, we will do a lot to make our district centers pleasing to the eye, comfortable for living, and attractive for residents and guests. This is exactly how the idea of building a strong and prosperous Belarus - a state for the people - is being realized," added the head of the region.
