"Night of Museums" in Vitebsk will be held with French charm, and in Polotsk – under the sign of the 30th anniversary of the concert hall of St. Sophia Cathedral
This year's traditional event will take place on May 18 and will run from 6 PM to 11 PM. As usual, participants can expect many surprises. Residents and guests of the northern capital should first and foremost note that the main events will be held at the Vitebsk Art Museum, not at the Town Hall as before. Here, visitors will be offered a "Journey to Paris" – this is the title of the evening's program, which is conceived as musical, creative, and stylish. Visitors will be able to buy a bouquet of violets from a charming flower girl, see a fashion show by the VGIK fashion theater "De la couture, et de la mode", various theatrical performances transporting viewers to France, and visit exhibitions such as "Vitebsk in the Early 20th Century," "They Flew to Paris 'Uley'," "Artists of the Paris School from Belarus," "Yuri Pen – My First Teacher," and many others. Master classes will also be held as part of "Night of Museums." Among those who decided to share their creative secrets with interested visitors are the renowned watercolorist Felix Gumen, as well as batik artists Nadezhda Mantsevich and Tatiana Yarovtseva. At "Vitebsk Montmartre," visitors can purchase canvases by local artists, and those who are tired and hungry will be welcomed by a cozy cafe located on the second floor of the museum. The program will conclude with "AGNI SHOW" – a fire show that will begin at 10:30 PM.
In the most ancient city of our country, a musical marathon is planned, which will cover almost the entire Polotsk National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. The public will not only be able to visit exhibitions but also participate in the children's quiz "Winged Singers," enjoy music of various styles and genres, visit the "80s Dance Floor" with VIA "Melos," and hear "Symphony of Living Nature" performed by the groups "Gorod N" and "Versiya." At the Museum of Belarusian Printing, a presentation of the film "The History of Belarusian Opera" will take place with the participation of the film crew, and the grand finale of the evening will be "Latin American Prints" – the concluding concert of the XXVI International Festival of Ancient and Modern Chamber Music.
