July 10, Vitebsk / Correspondent BELTA /. The International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk-2009" will be presented in a new concept this year. This was announced today at a press conference by Minister of Culture Pavel Latushko, according to a BELTA correspondent. According to the minister, the competition will be complemented by bright performances by jury members, pop stars, as well as memorable stage design. "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will not leave anyone indifferent, he is confident. The Vitebsk land is rich in talents. "The roots of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Simeon of Polotsk, Francysk Skaryna, Vasil Bykov, Vladimir Korotkevich come from here. This is already enough for the people of Vitebsk to be proud of their land," noted Pavel Latushko. "But I am sure that they can also be proud of the Slavianski Bazaar festival, which is being held in Vitebsk for the 18th time." This holiday, the minister said, is liked by all Belarusians and is very positively perceived abroad. "Thus, we are going out into the world with very good, kind information about our country - the Republic of Belarus," believes Pavel Latushko. -0-
