A new combined heat and power plant has started operating in Vitebsk

It took two years for the Lithuanian company UAB "Manfula" to reconstruct the boiler house in Ruba, converting it into a mini-CHP plant (now called mini-CHP plant "Dolomit").

— It wasn't without investment, — noted the chief engineer of VPKiTS Petr Baranovsky. — 80 percent was funded by the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and 20 percent from the regional budget, with a total of 3.6 million euros spent on the construction of the cogeneration unit.

The "Dolomit" mini-CHP plant with a capacity of two MW generates not only heat but also electricity. Since its launch, more than 2.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity have been produced.
