A new model of career guidance work with schoolchildren is being created in Belarus

July 27, Gorki / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. An experimental platform for developing career guidance technologies for the agro-industrial complex is being created in the Gorki district. This was reported today to the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich by the Minister of Education Sergey Maskevich during a visit to Secondary School No. 2 in Gorki, BELTA correspondent reports. According to the minister, at the first stage of creation, Secondary School No. 2 in Gorki and the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy will participate in the experiment. The essence of the experiment is to integrate tasks related to agricultural activities into the general education course. This involves both refining textbooks and manuals, and training specialists. Sergey Maskevich noted that starting from August this year, scientists from the National Institute of Education and the Agricultural Academy in Gorki will begin creating educational materials for the experiment participants. The mechanism for career guidance will be tested for two years, and then the positive experience will be extended to the entire republic. The Prime Minister supported this idea, but added that the best agricultural enterprises of the Mogilev region should be involved in the experiment so that young specialists can not only undergo practical training there but also work. "This is a completely new quality of education," emphasized Mikhail Myasnikovich.
