The latest products with the Vitebsk brand are presented at the Belagro-2016 exhibition
These days, Minsk has become a platform for contacts and agreements, technological solutions and innovations, and the development of a strategy for the path to a common future. This is exactly what it should be for Belarus and Russia, and this was once again confirmed by the Forum of Regions of fraternal states with the participation of the two presidents. Among the guests are also members of the Government of the Russian Federation, heads of departments and regions. Such a high and numerous representation at the forum emphasizes its importance, as do the accompanying events attended by distinguished neighbors. In particular, the International Specialized Exhibition "Belagro-2016" within the framework of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week, timed to coincide with the forum this year.
More than 500 companies from 23 countries of the world are represented, including from Austria, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Spain, China, the Netherlands, France, etc. The exhibition is located at the "Minsk-1" airport and occupies more than 30 thousand square meters. Collective expositions of Belarus are presented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Industry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology, concerns "Bellegprom", "Belgospishcheprom" and other ministries and departments. And, of course, the regions, including the Vitebsk region, represented by enterprises of the meat and dairy, processing industries and mechanical engineering.
What will be useful in the field
Today, it is difficult to imagine agriculture without the equipment of OJSC "Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant". They produce various soil-cultivating and seeding units, which are widely used in the fields of Vitebsk region, and spare parts for agricultural machinery in a wide range. At "Belagro", the plant presented its innovative development – the SZTM-4N mechanical mounted grain and fertilizer seeder.
Its feature is that it carries out row sowing of grain, leguminous crops, rapeseed, grasses, and other crops, and simultaneously applies the necessary starter doses of granular mineral fertilizers. The unit is equipped with an electronic control system, which allows for automatic activation of the technological track and monitoring of the seed and fertilizer levels in the hopper. In addition, the plant offers the CC-12 hitch – a semi-mounted combination that forms a unit of three of the aforementioned seeders, with a total working width of 12 meters. All the innovations implemented here allow for significant savings in fuel and mineral fertilizers.
– The new development of the engine repair plant makes it possible not only to sow but also to simultaneously apply phosphorus fertilizers locally, which is why it is very promising. This is an import substitution project; no one in the CIS is doing this. 80% of the components are domestically produced, – noted Sergey Dogel, Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee. – The first units have already started working; 15 new seeders are being used in the fields of Vitebsk region. It is also important that the plant has received a quality certificate from the Customs Union, which opens up export prospects.
– In addition, another of our developments was presented at the exhibition – the universal power unit "Dvina" from Verkhnedvinsk Rayagropromservis. The machinery on ultra-low pressure balloon tires is designed for a complex of agricultural work, characterized by mobility and multifunctionality. Manufacturers offer to equip them with a mineral fertilizer spreader and a boom sprayer, an onboard computer, and a navigator. To date, 150 such machines have already been sold, and "Dvina" helps the agricultural sector not only of the region but of the entire country.

Belarusian dairy products, including those from the Dvina region, need no introduction; everyone knows they are distinguished by two key advantages – naturalness and quality. Participants of "Belagro" were able to see this for themselves by trying the products of OJSC "Moloko" (Vitebsk), Postavy Dairy Plant, Lepel Condensed Milk Plant, Orsha Dairy Plant, and others. Today, more and more people are embracing healthy eating, and, of course, manufacturers are keeping up with customer needs and staying current, which the enterprises of the Vitebsk region have demonstrated. For example, Orsha Dairy Plant has mastered the production of new products enriched with vitamins and microelements. These include acidophilus – an easily digestible fermented milk product, the regular consumption of which helps strengthen the body, improves intestinal motility and metabolic processes, as well as varenets, which normalizes digestion, boosts immunity, and promotes proper kidney function.
The trend for healthy eating has also been supported by meat processing enterprises, which have focused on dietary turkey meat enriched with vitamins and minerals. In particular, OJSC "Gorodok Poultry Farm" presented chilled turkey products at the exhibition, while Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm "Ganna" and Orsha Meat Canning Plant presented a line of ready-to-eat products: boiled and semi-smoked sausages, frankfurters, and wieners under the trademarks "IndyukovЪ" and "INDYUSHA" respectively.
– This innovative product has generated particular interest among exhibition visitors. No one in the republic is involved in the production and processing of turkey, but our enterprises have not only developed products that are in demand today but have also pursued mutually beneficial cooperation, meaning that turkey meat from "Gorodok Poultry Farm" is supplied to "Ganna" and Orsha Meat Canning Plant for further processing, – said Sergey Dogel. – The fact that both ordinary visitors and retail chains represented at the exhibition are showing interest indicates that we are on the right track.
Just like with the production of natural juices in Tetra Pak cartons at the Tolochin Cannery (an import substitution project), which were gladly sampled by guests of "Belagro". It was impossible to pass by the wide variety of sweets from the "Vitba" Confectionery Plant. The Polotsk and Orsha Grain Processing Plants also presented their products. Among the retail chains, "Oris Trading House" LLC, representing the Orsha integrated structure created on the basis of 11 regional enterprises, was featured. The consolidation of retail outlets became the first stage in the creation of an agro-industrial holding, and the positive results of the decision made are already evident. The retail chain, which represents the interests of the meat and dairy enterprises of the Orsha region, is confidently gaining market positions by implementing modern environmentally friendly technologies to ensure that agricultural sector products reach the consumer in the freshest possible condition.
– We have many talented people, designers, engineers, and technologists. Our enterprises are modernized and well-equipped. All this together allows us to develop and implement innovations in production, and therefore, to compete in the market, – emphasized Sergey Dogel.
