New Year's fairs in the Vitebsk region will start as early as December 5

From December 5, 2015, to January 7, 2016, fairs featuring various industrial enterprises, trade organizations, and public catering facilities will be held in the Vitebsk region on weekends, as reported by the Department of Trade and Services of the Regional Executive Committee. This is being done to offer the population the widest possible range of products during the pre-holiday and holiday New Year and Christmas days.

However, preparations for the winter celebrations are already in full swing. By November 16, all trade, public catering, and consumer service facilities were required to be colorfully decorated. In addition, local authorities must soon ensure the holding of exhibitions-sales, sales at reduced prices, promotional events offering discounts on goods and services, and food product tastings.

Christmas tree markets will open on December 19. By this date, the list of designated sites and the prices set for the New Year's beauties will be known.

Also, from December 19 to January 7, the operating hours of trade and public catering facilities will be extended.
