The "New Year's train" will run on December 29 along the Polotsk-Vitebsk route

Passengers of the Polotsk-Vitebsk suburban train will become participants of the festive event "New Year's Train". The unusual train will run on the route on December 29 (departure from Polotsk at 11:54 AM and return from Vitebsk at 2:58 PM), the press service of the Polotsk District Executive Committee reported.

Passengers will be met by Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, and their assistants at the fairytale train car. While the train is moving, passengers will be able to participate in programs: contests of New Year's songs, riddle-twisters, guessing games, poems, chastushkas, New Year's rhymes, as well as in the "Lucky Ticket" non-losing lottery.

Winners of these competitions will receive New Year's souvenirs and sweets from Ded Moroz and Snegurochka as prizes. In addition, it will be possible to get a "Snow Tattoo from Ded Moroz" on the train. The face painting is done in a New Year's theme: snowflakes, snowmen, New Year's characters, and other images. A mobile photo studio "New Year's Shot" will also be organized. Everyone will be able to take pictures with Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, cheerful clowns, and fairytale characters (the best photos will be published on the website of the Polotsk District Executive Committee).

The train will also feature sales of New Year's souvenir products. Other pleasant surprises await passengers. The "New Year's Train" was first tested by the Polotsk District Executive Committee before 2014. "The idea is amazing because it gives passengers (residents of different districts of the region and guests from other regions) the opportunity, even in the hustle and bustle of life, to let the light, joy, and love that fill the New Year and Christmas days into their lives," the district executive committee emphasized.
