Novolukoml doors are supplied to the UK and other countries

In the Chashniki district, 17 economic entities of various forms of ownership are carrying out export-import operations with 22 countries of the world this year. And, despite all the difficulties of the crisis period, the volume of export supplies of products manufactured in the region continues to grow.

For the first quarter, for example, it amounted to more than 773 thousand dollars, or 122.8% compared to the same period last year, with a target of 113% and a positive balance of 131.2 thousand dollars.

– Work is being carried out in the district to develop foreign economic relations and diversify sales markets, – said Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Sivoshenko. – This year, enterprises have started working with three new regions: PortMan LLC has supplied laminated doors to Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, and the food processing plant is developing the Turkish market. Although the Russian Federation still remains our main partner in foreign economic activity, where more than half of the exported goods were sent.

Slightly more than 23% was exported to the CIS countries, and about 25% to far abroad countries. The main suppliers are expanded clay gravel and food processing plants, PortMan LLC, Electrostal, Eton.

In a very difficult economic situation due to the decline in the exchange rate of the Russian ruble and the simultaneous increase in energy prices, some of them have seen a decrease in export volumes. But there are also examples of significant growth.

Thus, at PortMan, it increased by more than 131% compared to last year: in March, products worth $62.5 thousand were shipped to Israel, and in April, they were sent to Great Britain, Oman, and Georgia. By the way, this enterprise was the first in Belarus to master the production of high-quality laminated doors made of MDF, which allowed it to conquer new sales markets. Successes in the business environment are achieved here through the implementation of advanced technologies, constant updating of the product range, and work to improve quality. PortMan is also one of the leaders in innovation implementation, and its head Alexander Razumovsky was awarded the title "Person of the Year of the Vitebsk Region".

As examples of active work to conquer new markets, Alexander Ivanovich also mentioned PE "Termouyut", which has now increased supplies of "Kompavit" dry backfill by 1.6 times to the Smolensk, Moscow, Samara, Arkhangelsk regions, Krasnodar Krai, and St. Petersburg. LLC "LukomoryeHunterTour" has begun shipping frozen mushrooms to Lithuania. "Scantek Polymer" and "Metrasales" are also performing well, although they have not been engaged in foreign economic trade activities for long, since 2014. The private enterprise "Promkomplektsentr", which produces aluminum metal structures, has already been added to the district's exporters. In the first quarter, products worth more than 20 thousand dollars were shipped here to Moscow and the Smolensk region.

Cost reduction measures for product manufacturing have been implemented at almost all exporting enterprises, which allows for maximum discounts to consumers and maintaining positions in the markets of Russia and Ukraine. Many have their own distribution networks both domestically and abroad.

The "Eton" plant, for example, has official representatives in all regional cities of Belarus, the "Santekhservis" and "Teplokom" trading houses in St. Petersburg are dealers of the enterprise, and its own distribution network facility operates in Ukraine. With the participation of the expanded clay gravel plant, trading houses have been established in St. Petersburg, Vilnius, and Riga. "PortMan" has a wholesale office center in Moscow and a representative office in Kazakhstan. "Elektrostal" cooperates with the International Trading Company of St. Petersburg.

The successes of leading exporters are facilitated by the support of local authorities. It is no coincidence that Chashniksky District, the only one in the Vitebsk region, has twice won the republican competition in the nomination "Best City (District) for Business".
