The Novolukoml expanded clay aggregate plant was the first in the Vitebsk region to switch to European standards for the domestic market

January 18, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. JSC "Keramzit Gravel Plant of Novolukoml" was the first in the Vitebsk region to switch to CE marking for domestic consumers. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Vladimir Belous, Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The Novolukoml enterprise is an exporter of keramzit gravel. Increasing the competitiveness of its products in the European market, the enterprise integrated into the management system based on international standards ISO9001, ISO14000 and OHSAS18000 three years ago and received CE marking. With the introduction of European standards in design and construction in Belarus from January 1, 2010, the enterprise began to produce products that meet modern requirements for the domestic market as well, explained Vladimir Belous. According to him, the construction industry enterprises of the region have begun to implement the Program of Measures for the Implementation of EU Design Norms and Standards. At the first stage, software will be purchased for design institutes, and technical re-equipment of enterprises will be carried out. In the Vitebsk region, according to the results of 2009, 592.3 thousand square meters of housing were built, which is almost 7% higher than the planned target. 42 facilities of the State Investment Program were commissioned. -0-
