A Novopolotsk resident threatened to blow up a casino to get back money his son lost
February 23, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Threatening an explosion, a father wanted to get back the money his son lost in a casino. The press service of the KGB Directorate for the Vitebsk Region told a BELTA correspondent about the family drama.
The 57-year-old resident of Novopolotsk made his first call to the local city police department. The man asked the police to help him get back $3.5 thousand, which his son had gambled away at a casino. After receiving a predictable refusal, the upset father drank alcohol and decided to seek justice from the KGB officers. He called the operational duty service of the KGB Directorate, demanded that measures be taken to return the losses, and threatened to carry out an explosion if refused.
After such a threat, the KGB Directorate officers did not limit themselves to consoling the desperate father, but established that he had called from his home phone and carried out operational measures. No explosive substances were found. Later, the Novopolotsk resident explained that he did not intend to blow anything up, and the threats were caused by stress and the influence of alcohol.
Taking into account that the head of the family's actions did not cause property damage, did not disrupt public order, and the explosion threats were not real, the KGB officers showed leniency. He was issued an official warning, and in case of further unlawful actions, he will be brought to criminal responsibility in the manner prescribed by law. -0-
