Novopolotsk, Verkhnedvinsk, ag. Kryvki and Mereckie became the winners of the republican review of sanitary condition and improvement

In Belarus, a review of sanitary condition and landscaping was held throughout 2018, with the participation of settlements from all regions and Minsk. The winners will be awarded a challenge pennant, a certificate, and cash prizes funded by the republican budget. The cash prize for Gomel as the winner in the first category among cities of regional subordination and Minsk will be 8 thousand base units (1 BU is Br25.5).

The winners in the second category (cities with a population of 50 thousand or more inhabitants with two first places in the republic) are Novopolotsk of Vitebsk region and Kobrin of Brest region, which will receive 3 thousand BUs each.

In the third category (cities and urban settlements with a population of 10 to 50 thousand inhabitants with three first places), the best were Pruzhany of Brest region, Zhytkavichy of Gomel region, and Drogichin of Brest region. The cash prize will be 2 thousand BUs each.

The winners in the fourth category (cities and urban settlements with a population of up to 10 thousand inhabitants with four first places) are Bragin and Narovlya of Gomel region, Verkhnedvinsk of Vitebsk region, and Myadel of Minsk region. Each will receive 1.5 thousand BUs.

The winners in the fifth category (rural settlements with five first places) were celebrated by the agro-towns of Khomsk of Drogichin district, Belovezhsky of Kamenets district of Brest region, Krynki of Liozno district of Vitebsk region, Ezery of Cherikovsky district of Mogilev region, Mereckie of Gluboksky district of Vitebsk region. Their cash prize will be 800 BUs each.

At least 70% of the received funds will be directed to the development of settlements, and up to 30% - to award managers and employees of enterprises, organizations, and institutions that have achieved the highest results in landscaping and greening settlements and took first places.

In the past year, significant work has been done on the improvement of streets, courtyards, maintenance of parks, squares, and other public places, as well as on the current and capital repair of road surfaces of streets and sidewalks in Grodno,Brest, Lida, Bereza, Postavy, Polotsk, Glubokoye, in the urban-type settlement of Bolbasovo, as well as in the agro-towns of Lyaskovichi of Ivanovo district of Brest region, Kopti of Vitebsk district and Kamai of Postavy district of Vitebsk region. Chairmen of the specified city and district executive committees will be sent letters of gratitude.
