Novopolotsk youth met with Natalia Kochanova in Minsk

Новополоцкая молодежь встретилась с Натальей Кочановой в Минске
The youth delegation of Novopolotsk visited the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood and the Palace of Independence of the Republic of Belarus.

As Alexander Prokhorov, acting first secretary of the Novopolotsk city organization of the BRSM, said, the trip to the capital was planned as part of the 15th anniversary of the youth association, and was also one of the forms of encouragement for the city's youth leaders. The delegation included secretaries of primary organizations of the youth union of educational institutions, enterprises and organizations of the city, representatives of the Parliament of Children and Youth – more than 40 people in total.

Young representatives of the oil city visited the Museum of Belarusian Statehood and the Palace of Independence, and met with the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Natalia Kochanova, for whom the oil city is her hometown. Here she received her education and headed the local government for seven years.

During an open conversation with Natalia Ivanovna, she shared her experience, answered all questions of interest, and also suggested that the youth of Novopolotsk take a more active initiative and contribute ideas and proposals for the benefit of the city and the Republic of Belarus.

– This event acquainted the city's youth activists with the fundamentals of modern Belarusian statehood, the milestones of its formation, and allowed them to increase their knowledge of the national identity of the people. During the visit, we had a unique opportunity to communicate with the Head of the Administration of the Republic of Belarus. Such meetings are a good incentive for the formation of a high civic position among the younger generation, and for the effective solution of tasks for the implementation of youth policy in the city, – noted Alexander Prokhorov.

Gymnasium No. 1 student Oksana Tolochko also shared her impressions of the trip, stating, in particular, that she felt great excitement while inside the Palace of Independence, where prominent politicians make important decisions for the country and the world. Schoolgirl Alexandra Gushchenko was struck by the fact that such a magnificent building, which has become one of the symbols of the republic, was built in just over two years.

At the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood, the girl was able to learn more about the history of the country's political formation and about the people awarded the honorary title of Heroes of Belarus. And, of course, the conversation with Natalya Kochanova was very instructive for everyone.
