Novopolotsk drivers surpassed their colleagues in professional skills competitions in the oil city

Новополоцкие водители превзошли своих коллег на соревнованиях по профмастерству в нефтеграде

Novopolotsk drivers surpassed their Belarusian and Russian colleagues in driving skills with MAZ trucks and buses at the regional professional skills competition, which took place on September 19 in the oil city. This was reported by the organizers.

16 teams from the region's motor transport enterprises and teams from Minsk, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, and Veliky Novgorod took part in the competition.

The winners were determined based on the assessment of theoretical knowledge of traffic rules and driving skills in four categories. Drivers demonstrated the quality and speed of performing various maneuvers and completing courses on MAZ-103 and MAZ-105 buses (the so-called "accordion") as well as trucks of the same brand – a 20-tonner and a tractor unit with a semi-trailer. In the first three nominations, representatives of ATP No. 6 of Novopolotsk became winners: Oleg Khodikov, Artem Bykov, Gennady Malyavko. However, in the skill of driving a MAZ tractor, the representative of the team of OJSC "Minoavtotrans" Dmitry Galyas had no equal. "We did not summarize the overall team standings, as some cities and districts could not field participants for each nomination. But in general, in terms of the number of prize-winning places, Novopolotsk surpassed the others," the organizers added.

Similar professional competitions for drivers, with the invitation of colleagues from a neighboring country, are held regularly in both Belarus and Russia. For the Smolensk residents, this was their first visit to Novopolotsk. They, like other participants, noted the high quality of the competition's organization. But most of all, the participants admitted, they were pleased with the opportunity to meet, communicate, and discuss the specifics of the work of transport enterprises of the two countries.
