The Novopolotsk bakery will triple its monthly output of confectionery by the end of the year

April 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. By the end of the year, the Novopolotsk bakery plans to triple its monthly output of confectionery, the enterprise's director, Sergei Zinoviev, told a BELTA correspondent. Currently, the production volume of these products is about 10 tons per month. In total, 33 tons of confectionery worth Br330 million were produced in January-March. These are mainly cookies of various types: shortbread, with fruit fillings, decorated, and glazed. The products are manufactured in the reconstructed confectionery workshop of the bakery, which was launched last year. As new equipment is mastered and consumer demand increases, the plant's specialists intend not only to significantly increase production volume but also to expand the range of products offered by more than half. Currently, the product range includes 15 items. In January-March, the bakery produced over 1 thousand tons of bread, bakery, and confectionery products worth a total of Br3.1 billion, or 120.5% compared to the same period in 2010. The enterprise operated profitably. Investments in fixed assets in 2011 are planned at Br500 million. The funds will be used to purchase new refrigeration equipment, vehicles to expand product deliveries, and modernize the computer software of the production process. The enterprise was commissioned in 1990. It is part of RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom". The product range includes about 90 items. The total number of employees is over 200 people. -0-
