New road signs are appearing on the roads of Belarus

New road signs indicating accident blackspots have been developed in Belarus.

The Main Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in conjunction with the Belavtodor department, has developed new information and warning road signs to designate accident blackspots.

These signs have already been installed on the M9 (MKAD) highway in 4 locations, totaling 7 signs. In the near future, it is planned to equip all major republican roads with them.

Over 10 months of 2012, 4154 registered road traffic accidents occurred on the roads of Belarus, resulting in 829 fatalities and 4512 injuries.
