New adjustment coefficients for the tariff rates of public sector employees are being introduced from May 1 - Ministry of Labor
May 25, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. In Belarus, since May 1 of the current year, adjustment coefficients to the tariff rates (salaries) of employees of state-funded organizations and other organizations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in terms of labor remuneration to employees of state-funded organizations, are being introduced. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Main Department of Labor and Wages of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
The corresponding Ministry Resolution No. 57 was developed in pursuance of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of May 4, 2012 No. 410 "On establishing the size of the first-category tariff rate for the remuneration of employees of state-funded organizations and other organizations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in terms of labor remuneration to employees of state-funded organizations". By this document, the first-category tariff rate has been increased to Br210 thousand since May 1 of this year. For reminder, this is the second increase in salaries for public sector employees this year (the previous increase in the first-category tariff rate was from January 1 to Br200 thousand).
The adjustment coefficients to the tariff rates (salaries) calculated in accordance with the first-category tariff rate established by the government and the coefficients of the Unified Tariff Grid of Employees of the Republic of Belarus (ETS) are as follows: from the 1st to the 2nd category - 3.62; from the 2nd to the 3rd category - 3.17; from the 3rd to the 4th category - 2.75; from the 4th to the 5th category - 2.40; from the 5th to the 6th category - 2.22; from the 6th to the 7th category - 2.05; from the 7th to the 8th category - 1.94; from the 8th to the 9th category - 1.84; from the 9th to the 10th category - 1.74; from the 10th to the 11th category - 1.65; from the 11th to the 12th category - 1.56; from the 12th to the 13th category - 1.47; from the 13th to the 14th category - 1.39; from the 14th to the 15th category - 1.32; from the 15th to the 16th category - 1.26; from the 16th to the 17th category - 1.22; from the 17th to the 18th category - 1.18; from the 18th to the 19th category - 1.14; from the 19th to the 20th category - 1.11; from the 20th to the 21st category - 1.07; from the 21st to the 22nd category - 1.04; from the 22nd to the 23rd category - 1.01; from the 23rd to the 24th category - 1.00; from the 24th to the 25th category - 0.98; from the 25th to the 26th category - 0.96; from the 26th to the 27th category - 0.94; for the 27th category - 0.93.
Tariff rates (salaries) are calculated by sequentially multiplying the first-category tariff rate by the corresponding tariff coefficients of the ETS and the established adjustment coefficients.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection emphasized that by changing the range of adjustment coefficients, differentiation in the remuneration of employees in the public sector will be strengthened. This will also make it possible to maintain the wage level of low-paid categories of employees above the minimum wage (since January 1, 2012, the minimum wage has been Br1 million).
The performance of the country's economy allows for a consistent increase in citizens' income levels, the ministry concluded. -0-
