New approaches in ideological work, media activities, and the development of human resources were discussed at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

Representatives of the ideological vertical, the sphere of culture, regional press, as well as leaders of public associations of the region are taking part in the collegium.
Summing up the year's results, the head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, Marina Novitskaya, noted that in 2021, the work of the region's ideological vertical was aimed at interacting with the teams and active members of organizations, public associations and political parties, the deputy corps, and state media on the implementation of state policy, ideological support for the forecast parameters of socio-economic development for 2021, decisions of the VI All-Belarusian People's Congress, state and professional holidays, and dates of the historical calendar.
The chief ideologist of the region emphasized that in his address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted: "The modern management system must become maneuverable, offensive, proactive - focused on anticipating and effectively solving emerging problems. Initiative, the ability to take responsibility, and to hear society are needed. This should be taken into account when improving the system of personnel policy in the state."

— We pay constant attention to the development of human resources, — said Marina Novitskaya. — However, deputy chairmen of city and district executive committees should pay attention to the frequent turnover of chief specialists in the departments of ideological work, culture, and youth affairs over the past year, the long-term vacancies for specialists in departments in a number of districts, as well as the understaffing of creative workers in newspaper editorial offices.
The chief ideologist of the region sees the solution to the problem in the existing personnel reserves, from which vacancies can be promptly filled. Chief editors, together with deputy chairmen and heads of departments of city and district executive committees, should work on this issue.

According to Marina Novitskaya, special attention should be paid to improving professional skills, further training of specialists, and working with the personnel reserve in 2022.
