A new CT scanner has started operating at the Glubokoye Central District Hospital

Residents of Gluboksky and several neighboring districts have been waiting for this event for a long time. Officially, in a solemn ceremony, the computed tomography room was opened today. But Glubokye radiologists have been working in test mode for the second week.

By the way, until now, patients needing this type of examination had to be taken to Polotsk and Vitebsk. Interestingly, the apparatus installed in the Central District Hospital is of Belarusian production - "VENTUM 128". Its cost is over 1.2 million rubles. Another 650 thousand were spent on the preparation and reconstruction of premises - an equipped block for its placement. As a result, comfortable conditions have been created here not only for patients but also for the work and rest of the medical staff.

Nikolai Eremin, a radiologist at the Vitebsk Diagnostic Center, who is currently training his district colleagues, told a sb.by correspondent:

- The equipment is good and reliable. With the help of the new tomograph, we have already quickly made dozens of diagnoses, saving people from the need to visit regional medical centers.

It is noteworthy that the telemedicine capabilities, widely developed in the Vitebsk region, allow local doctors to promptly receive consultations from regional colleagues by sending them research results.
