Vitebskoblorsstroy plans to launch a new asphalt concrete plant in 2022
According to Alexander Nefedov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee, the need to update the production capacities for asphalt concrete mixtures has been overdue for a long time, as the existing production facilities have exhausted their resources, some of them by 2-2.5 times. The main advantage of the new plant is its mobility, which will allow optimizing costs by saving transportation expenses.
Taking into account the volume of financing for the road sector of the region, the issue of increasing the efficiency of using available resources comes to the forefront. Thus, in 2021, an inventory of the local road network in the Vitebsk region was carried out to assess their technical condition and intensity of use. Its results will allow for more productive planning of financial support for their current maintenance, and will also form the basis for making decisions on transferring the street and road network to the balance of road construction organizations from the housing and communal services system. These issues are currently considered individually for each rural settlement, taking into account the remoteness of the local road maintenance and construction department's base, the capabilities of housing and communal services units in the districts, as well as a number of other factors, Alexander Nefedov added.
