The new bus station in Horadok was opened for the "Dozhynki-2014" festival

 A number of socially significant facilities in the capital of the regional harvest festival in Horadok have acquired a completely new look. The opening of the bus station became a particularly long-awaited and joyful event for the residents and guests of the district center. The Horadok bus station, built in 1973, is unrecognizable. Today it is a modern building erected according to the original design of architect Yuri Sokolovsky. It has its own individual style, in which the project author managed to combine modern design and reflect the symbolic specifics of the district center. Now the station is adorned with the coat of arms of Horadok. The facility is equipped with the latest technical innovations that operate within the transport communication system for the comfortable stay, service, and safety of people. Video surveillance systems are installed both outside and inside the building, and an electronic display above the ticket office is available for passengers' convenience. Ticket sales are now carried out using a computer system. Travel documents for the offered routes can be purchased not only at the ticket offices but also using ATMs and info kiosks, as well as via the Internet. The modernization of the technological process has made it possible to ensure a daily dispatch of up to 60 transport units with a passenger flow of up to 400 people. The waiting room can comfortably accommodate 25 people. Thanks to the automated navigation system, public transport movement within the Horadok district will be promptly monitored. Townspeople and guests of the district center took part in the grand opening ceremony of the bus station. Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Nadezhda Burunova welcomed the participants of the event on behalf of the local authorities. She expressed gratitude to the regional leadership and all organizations that participated in the reconstruction of this important social facility, as the station is the calling card of the city. The advantages of the reconstructed facility were presented by the General Director of OJSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans" Vasily Dyatlov. It was to him that Igor Mukosey, the head of SMP-715 of OJSC "Trust Beltransstroy SMP-715" (the organization acted as the contractor for the construction work) and present as an honored guest, presented the symbolic key to the bus station.
