A new kindergarten opened on Knowledge Day in Vitebsk

The solemn opening ceremony of the new facility was attended by Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin, representatives of regional and city authorities, the public of the city, as well as parents whose children became pupils of the new building. According to Alexander Kosinets, it has become a good tradition in the Vitebsk region to commission new educational facilities for each academic year. This year was no exception: the reconstruction of a secondary school building with an extension in the urban settlement of Orekhovsk, Orsha district, has been completed. The commissioning of a second preschool institution for 230 children became a good gift for the residents of the Bilevo microdistrict. "This facility fully meets modern requirements and the demands of families and society for quality preschool education," the governor noted, emphasizing that in 2013-2014, it is also planned to build another school for 1.2 thousand students and two kindergartens for 500 children in the Bilevo microdistrict. The head of the region noted that the development of the preschool education system in the region is given the most serious attention. There are 658 preschool institutions in the Vitebsk region, including 228 educational and pedagogical complexes "kindergarten-school". They cover more than 47 thousand children. The network of preschool institutions with various activities is developing. Conditions have been created for children with psychophysical development features to receive education. "The issue of creating the necessary social facilities for the population's well-being in new housing developments remains relevant. We are solving it, finding funds and opportunities so that new residents receive timely access to the necessary infrastructure facilities," said the chairman of the regional executive committee. Alexander Kosinets also noted that the Bilevo microdistrict will continue to grow and develop. In the coming years, it is expected to grow by another 40 thousand residents. The construction of the second state preschool educational institution in the Bilevo-1 microdistrict began in December 2010, according to the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. Modern approaches to creating safe and comfortable conditions for children and ensuring high quality preschool education were implemented during the design and construction work. The design capacity of the kindergarten is 230 places. First of all, places in it are provided for children from large and low-income families. Various organizations of the region participated in the construction and equipping of the preschool institution and landscaping of the territory: UP "Institute "Vitebskgrazhdanproekt", KUP "Capital Construction of Vitebsk", OJSC "Construction Trust No. 9 of Vitebsk", OJSC "Vitaavtomatika", LLC "BelIgraProm", state enterprise "Zelentkhoz", etc. All groups are provided with the necessary conditions for the full upbringing, education and development of children. A physical education room, a gym, a swimming pool with an infrared sauna, an art studio, and offices for specialists have been equipped. Equipment for the food unit and laundry of the preschool institution has been purchased in accordance with established requirements. Playrooms, bedrooms, specialist offices, resource centers, and the medical unit of the preschool institution are fully equipped with furniture manufactured by "Zarya", "Postavyfurniture", "Partner-Optima" enterprises. To improve children's health, a stadium has been installed on the territory of the preschool institution, a sports town, playgrounds, and a traffic rules learning area have been equipped. The preschool institution will have an integrated learning group for children with psychophysical development features.
