June 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk branch of Belarusian Railways plans to commission two new economy-class diesel trains in the second half of the current year, the regional branch informed a BELTA correspondent. As part of the implementation of a new format for passenger transportation, the new trains will be launched on low-traffic routes with a low passenger flow. In 2011, Belarusian Railways began reforming passenger transport services. The main consumer qualities of which will be speed, accessibility, and comfort, with mobility and environmental friendliness as the main attributes.
