The Polotsk Dairy Plant has signed a new contract in St. Petersburg for the supply of its products
A trade cooperation agreement was signed during the XXIV International Food Exhibition "Peterfood-2015", where two types of the enterprise's products were awarded gold medals.
Recently, Rosselkhoznadzor imposed a temporary ban on the import of products from five Belarusian dairy processing enterprises into the Russian Federation. We inquired about the situation with the Polotsk enterprises.
– Our situation is stable, supplies are continuing, – said Lyudmila Grinkova, Head of the Marketing and Sales Department. She provided figures.
More than 50% of Polotsk Dairy Plant's products are exported
, with about three thousand tons shipped abroad in November. These exports go to Kazakhstan, Armenia, but predominantly to various regions of Russia. The geography of trade cooperation extends from Kaliningrad to Murmansk, Novosibirsk, and the Far East. Traditionally, partners include Smolensk, Pskov, Sebezh, and primarily Moscow and St. Petersburg, which receive milk, kefir, cottage cheese, sour cream, curd snacks, and desserts from Polotsk daily.
The consistent technical re-equipment of the enterprise has helped expand the product range. The acquisition of high-tech equipment for the production of aerated products allowed the introduction of whipped cottage cheese creams, puddings, and mousses to the market. The installation of an ultra-clean filling line for milk, kefir, and yogurt in PET bottles enabled increased export of whole milk products by extending their shelf life. Stable consumer demand for curd snacks prompted the installation of a second production line for them.
– Russians know our products and always highly appreciate their taste qualities at tastings. It is gratifying that we received good feedback again in St. Petersburg, – noted Lyudmila Grinkova.
The competitive advantages of Polotsk products are based on constant attention to the quality and safety of all types of products. They are made from natural food raw materials with a high level of processing and strict adherence to sanitary rules, technological regulations, and recipes, and do not contain preservatives, colorants, artificial additives, or genetically modified ingredients.
Russian consumers vote for Polotsk food products with their wallets, and professional experts have awarded them top honors, emphasizing their compliance with modern global standards. This assessment also contributes to the growth of the enterprise's export capabilities.
The "Peterfood-2015" exhibition awarded the gold medal to kefir "Polochanka" with a fat content of 3.2% and curd cheese bar with vanillin, 26% fat. It is this product, recognizable by the image of a panda cub on blue foil packaging, that is very popular among Russians and is in highest demand when concluding contracts with new trading partners.
