Recently, the grand opening of public law enforcement point No. 4 took place in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk. It is located on Gagarin Street, opposite the administrative building of OJSC "Keramika". This microdistrict is one of the most disadvantaged in the regional center, so the police "bridgehead" in close proximity to the houses will be an additional guarantee of maintaining law and order in this territory.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Igor Evseev and the deputy head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district Anatoly Kondratovich.

— The location for the public law enforcement point was chosen well, — said the chief of police of the region. — The premises are clean and cozy. Although it's not a European-style renovation, considering the financial situation, everything is done very solidly: new computers, comfortable furniture. In a word, the workplaces are organized at a proper level.

And the representative of the district authorities clarified that not a single state ruble was spent on the improvement and cosmetic repair of the public law enforcement point: sponsors and the local housing and communal services enterprise helped.

Speaking to the district police inspectors, Igor Evseev noted that 2014 began favorably for the police officers of the Pridvinye region. On the first day of January, not a single violation of public order was recorded in Vitebsk. And this is despite the fact that there were many people at the New Year's celebrations in the city center.

— There were no drunk people on the streets, — reported Igor Vladimirovich. — This was facilitated by measures to stop the night sale of alcohol, as well as the fact that a large number of internal affairs personnel were involved.

The head of the Internal Affairs Directorate shared another piece of joyful news with his subordinates: the construction of the building for the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs is beginning. 1.258 billion rubles have been allocated, and in the near future, a capsule will be laid in the foundation of the future structure, which will house not only offices for employees but also a shooting range and a canteen.
