September 21, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Joint limited liability company "TransEkspedicija", registered as a resident of FEZ "Vitebsk", plans to invest 3.2 million euros in the organization of liquefied hydrocarbon gas production. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the department of investments and foreign economic relations of the Vitebsk FEZ. The business plan of the investment project provides for the development of liquefied hydrocarbon gas production for vehicles and communal-household consumption, as well as the provision of transport and forwarding services for the transportation of the product to the end consumer. The project fully complies with the environmental and technological safety requirements in Belarus. Upon reaching full production capacity, the new resident expects to produce 1.2 thousand tons of products per month. More than 70% of the products are planned to be exported to far abroad countries. In FEZ "Vitebsk", this will be the first project with the participation of investors from Holland and Israel. Liquefied hydrocarbon gases are used in industry in the production of plastics, synthetic rubbers and aromatic hydrocarbons, for welding and cutting metals, and in recent years have become widely used as fuel for transport engines. The production volumes of liquefied hydrocarbon gases in the world are constantly growing and are stimulated by the demand for this alternative source of fuel and energy due to its low cost compared to similar analogues, as well as its popularity from an environmental point of view. FEZ "Vitebsk" was established in August 1999. Currently, 38 residents are registered in the FEZ, of which more than 60% are joint and foreign enterprises established with the participation of investors from 13 countries, including Germany, Poland, the USA, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Russia, Canada, Holland and Israel. The industrial potential of the FEZ is based on enterprises operating in the fields of machine building, woodworking, food, chemical, fuel and light industries.
