The new cucumber harvest from Rudakovo OJSC will go on sale at the end of January

The new harvest in 2017 at the greenhouse complex of the agricultural enterprise using artificial lighting will feature the "Janis" variety. The produce will be sent for sale to the retail chains of the regional center.

To delight consumers with fresh vitamin products in winter, vegetable growers from the Vitebsk region started working in December. Just before the New Year holidays, the team of the unit, led by head of the greenhouse farm Raisa Krupatina, completed the planting of seedlings in the closed ground over an area of 1.58 hectares.

– Recently, we are increasingly asked when Rudakovskie cucumbers will appear on sale, people say they are tired of tasteless imported ones and want domestic ones, – admits Raisa Ivanovna.

But we will have to wait a little, because to get a good harvest, it is necessary to follow the seedling growth technology.

– Our specialists are experienced, they know their job well and cope with it excellently, so we hope that the yield will be no lower than last year, we harvested 62 kg of vegetables per 1 sq.m during the season, – explained Raisa Krupatina.
