On the Constitution, vaccination, and the development of the regional center. Alexander Subbotin spoke with the staff of "Vitebskhlebprom"
During a meeting between the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin and the work collective of Vitebskhleprom OJSC, a lively and interested conversation took place between them. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the upcoming republican referendum.
Margarita Kozak, senior lecturer at VSU named after P. M. Masherov, explained and substantiated the main changes in the draft amendments and changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus in an accessible form. She emphasized that the foundations, traditions, and values laid down in the 1994 Constitution are preserved in the draft of the new edition. At the same time, many provisions were relevant then, and now the time has come to adjust them. For example, Belarus remains a presidential republic, and the same branches of power are preserved. However, geopolitical realities and many other aspects influence the constitutional consolidation of seemingly obvious provisions. For example, about marriage as a union of a man and a woman, the preservation of historical truth and memory, the inadmissibility of military aggression instead of neutrality, the protection of personal data, and the role of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly as a body through whose prism the most important decisions for the country will be made.
The dialogue platform was attended by the head of the administration of the Pervomaisky district, Evgeny Semyonchev, and the head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, Marina Novitskaya.
The audience took the opportunity to ask questions, primarily to the head of the region. Thus, regarding the most significant changes in the Constitution that will directly affect the Vitebsk region, the interlocutors agreed that our region is inseparable from the whole country. Every article and word in the Basic Law is weighed and significant. According to the chairman of the regional executive committee, the new edition of the Constitution will contribute to the development of the state and society.
Alexander Subbotin shared the participants' concerns about the sanctions imposed by the collective West. He emphasized that they are aimed at worsening the living conditions of ordinary citizens and dividing society, so in difficult times, it is more important than everto preserve its integrity.
When asked if he had been vaccinated against coronavirus, the head of the region admitted that he had once had the disease, had been vaccinated and revaccinated with a Chinese vaccine, and had also traditionally received a flu shot. He urged everyone to follow his example.
The information from Alexander Subbotin regarding the plans for the development of Vitebsk's infrastructure aroused the greatest interest:

The information from Alexander Subbotin regarding the plans for the development of Vitebsk's infrastructure aroused the greatest interest:
– In the Bilevo microdistrict, we want to build a school-kindergarten. The issue of financing is being resolved, the republic has met us halfway and lent a hand. It is also planned to build a large indoor heated multifunctional sports complex with a 50-meter swimming pool there. We will refresh the "Vitebsk" concert hall. We want many beautiful cozy corners to appear, so that the city blossoms, starting with making the "blue house" truly blue. We need to support the idea of the chairman of the city executive committee and complete the begun embankment of the Dvina. We would like to complete long-term construction projects, including those at the intersection of Chkalov and Voyinov-Internatsionalistov streets. There is also an idea to implement a pilot project for electric transport in Vitebsk – it is environmentally friendly, it is advanced ideas and technologies.
After the meeting with the staff, the general director of the enterprise, Mikhail Rog, acquainted the guests with the production and invited them to an exhibition of bakery and confectionery products.
