On socio-economic development and improvement. Details of Igor Sergeenko's working visit to Postavy
He met with residents of the district center at the district House of Culture, where he informed them about the socio-economic development of sovereign Belarus over the past 30 years, the socio-political situation in the country, and the activities of the Belarusian parliament. He also answered questions from the audience.
In particular, the discussion focused on achievements in the social sphere, which have significantly improved the quality of life of the population. Over three decades, the length of the road network has doubled, and the hard surface on transport routes has increased by one and a half times. The number of passenger cars owned by the population has grown from 500,000 in the mid-1990s to 3 million today. Over the specified period, more than 900 medical facilities have been built, ranging from feldsher-midwife points to republican scientific and practical centers.
The work of the parliament, which quickly responds to the demands of society, is also fruitful, Igor Sergeenko emphasized. If it was necessary to simplify the legislation on real estate registration, as he cited an example, the parliament adopted a relevant regulatory legal act. The opportunity for liberalization of criminal liability arose, and this has already been done.
The Speaker also informed about other areas of work of the legislative branch, including the expansion of ties with legislative bodies of other countries and their associations. He also addressed the issue of strengthening information threats, measures taken to enhance the country's defense capability, and other internal and external factors.
- The conversation was constructive and friendly. The residents of Postavy show interest in what is happening in the country and abroad. Moreover, the response at such events is not in the number of figures cited, but in concrete facts of the state's care for improving their lives. These meetings once again demonstrated the benefit of feedback, when both sides receive answers to their questions, he emphasized.
This conversation continued during Igor Sergeenko's visit to the production unitary enterprise "Promis Plant". The director of the enterprise, Andrey Lichevsky, acquainted the speaker of the parliament with the organization of production and the products manufactured here. The plant's nomenclature includes about 700 items, with the main sales markets being the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, as well as about ten foreign countries. The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment and employs about one hundred workers, whose average salary exceeds 2 thousand rubles.
Summing up the meeting, Igor Sergeenko emphasized that everything created must be preserved and multiplied, and actively engage in landscaping work, which everyone should start with themselves.
