OJSC "8th of March" will open a branded store in Vitebsk on the eve of the New Year holidays

Gomel Open Joint Stock Company "8 Marta" will open its branded store in Vitebsk on December 24, Kristina Mozhnaya, head of the marketing department of OJSC, told a BELTA correspondent. This is the first retail outlet in the northeastern region of the republic where almost the entire range of knitwear produced at the factory will be presented. The area of the new store, located in a busy part of the city, is 115 sq.m. It will operate on a self-service basis. The development of branded trade is one of the strategic directions for the enterprise in solving the task of increasing sales both in the domestic market and abroad. Currently, 5 branded stores of OJSC "8 Marta" are already operating in the Gomel and Mogilev regions. The growth rate of trade turnover in them in January-November 2009 was 137%, and their share in the total sales volume increased to 15%. In October 2009, with the mediation of a wholesale buyer representing the interests of the enterprise in Russia, a branded store was opened in Bryansk. And already in November, its trade turnover amounted to almost 1 million Russian rubles. The store became so popular with local residents that trading partners offered to open another retail outlet in the city, which will exclusively sell Gomel knitwear. The enterprise was founded in 1926. Currently, more than 1.5 thousand people work at OJSC. It produces underwear and outerwear knitwear for children, women and men, as well as sportswear. Almost all products are sold under patented brands: men's - "Emico", women's - "Marta", and children's - "Martinka". Collections are updated by more than 60% annually. -0-
