OJSC "Amkodor" will invest about 50 billion rubles in the development of the Kokhanovsky Excavator Plant
Modernization and creation of new production facilities at OJSC «Kokhanovsky Excavator Plant» will be carried out by OJSC «Amkodor» – the holding management company» as the new and main owner, who is ready to invest at least 50 billion rubles in the development of the enterprise within the next three years.
In accordance with the decree of the head of state, the well-known manufacturer of utility vehicles acquired 91.85% of the shares of the Kokhanovsky plant owned by the Republic of Belarus. The transaction volume is estimated at no less than 4 billion rubles.
According to the press service of the holding, under the terms of the sale, the new owner undertakes to maintain road construction and land reclamation equipment as the specialization of the excavator plant, to carry out technical re-equipment of production and ensure the implementation of modern technologies, expand the range of manufactured equipment, while preserving the labor collective and preventing job losses. Within three years, «Amkodor» is to increase the production volume at its Kokhanovsky site by 1.5 times compared to the level of 2012.
It should be noted that at the end of 2012, a controlling stake in «Amkodor» was acquired by the Novopolotsk LLC «Interservice». This private company is implementing a large-scale project at RUP «Novopolotsk Plant of BVK» with an investment volume of 270 million dollars, which involves the creation of three plants – for the production of traction and starter batteries, for the production of hydraulic cylinders and special machines. Taking this circumstance into account, it is possible that the enterprise in Kokhanovo is considered by the investor in the context of developing new production facilities in Novopolotsk.
Let us add that according to the results of 9 months of 2013, the revenue from the sale of products, works and services of OJSC «Kokhanovsky Excavator Plant» amounted to almost 75.3 billion rubles and increased by 1.8 times compared to the data for the first half of the year, and net profit exceeded 2.4 billion rubles, increasing by 2.6 times. Today, more than 200 people work at the enterprise.
