JSC "KIM" sold its store in Vitebsk at a record price

ОАО «КИМ» продало свой магазин в Витебске по рекордной цене

The former store of Vitebsk OJSC "KIM" on Victory Square in the regional center has been sold to a new owner at a record price for the city's real estate market this year – for almost 5.718 billion rubles.

According to Pavel Zayats, the bankruptcy trustee for "KIM", the money raised from the sale will be used to pay off the enterprise's current debts, to pay salaries to specialists, and to settle with them upon dismissal. Today, the factory still has 240 employees on its staff. Since the liquidation proceedings opened in September 2015, only equipment had been sold; the deal with the store became the first sale of the bankrupt's real estate. The production facilities at the main site of the factory, which will also be put up for auction, are currently being assessed, and the assessment and sale of machine tools and mechanisms will continue. During this time, the creditors' claims register has decreased by almost 43% to approximately 175 billion rubles due to the settlement of claims of a number of creditors through court, but "KIM" has not yet begun to actually pay off the obligations under the register.

The new owner of the store on Victory Square is a Minsk-based company, which is currently refraining from commenting on the future use of the property. The facility, with an area of almost 255 sq. m, was put up for sale again with an initial price reduced by 10%, amounting to 5.445 billion rubles. Since there was one potential buyer interested in the isolated premises, the auction was declared invalid, and the sole bidder agreed to buy the store at the initial price increased by 5%. A nearby cafe (area 172.4 sq. m, initial sale price over 4.446 billion rubles), also owned by "KIM" and put up for auction, remains unclaimed by investors for now. This facility is encumbered by a lease, the contract for which expires in December 2016.

Simultaneously with this auction, based on the results of trading at the Vitebskoblimushchestvo fund, a complex of unused buildings and structures of the Vitebsk ATP Melivodkhoz communal enterprise, located in Polotsk, was sold for 3.6 million rubles. The lot includes 16 capital structures of various purposes and infrastructure facilities with a total area of about 2.3 thousand sq. m, located on a land plot of over 4.2 hectares, which is leased for 30 years. The object was sold at auction with an initial price set at one base unit.
