JSC "Naftan" has begun implementing the enterprise development program for 2010-2015

May 5, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Naftan OJSC has begun implementing the enterprise development program for the period 2010-2015. This was announced today at a press conference by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, BELTA correspondent reports. The joint-stock company is currently loaded with raw materials for processing at just over 60%. However, it does not intend to abandon reconstruction. The program consists of 5 blocks and includes 26 investment projects. Its total cost is about $1.4 billion. The main object of the "Naftan 2010-2015" program is the construction of a deep processing complex with a capacity of 1.6 million tons per year of a mixture of vacuum residues, propane deasphalting, and visbreaking residue. In addition, for the first time in Belarus, the production of petroleum coke will begin. As Alexander Kosinets noted, the implementation of the program will allow Naftan to increase its oil processing volume to 12 million tons and increase the depth of processing from 71% to 93%. Naftan OJSC is focused on processing Russian oil, but due to changed raw material supply conditions, the enterprise is working to find other suppliers. The Novopolotsk oil refinery Naftan was commissioned in 1963 and is part of the Belneftekhim concern. The plant specializes in the production of fuel and oil products, producing more than 70 items, including oils, gasoline, and diesel fuel of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards. About 70% of the products are supplied to CIS countries, the European Union, the Middle East, and the USA. At the end of 2008, Polymir OJSC was merged with Naftan OJSC, and a petrochemical complex was created. -0-
