JSC "Naftan" has been operating at full production capacity since January

September 10, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. Naftan OJSC has been operating at full capacity since September 2010, the press service of Belneftekhim concern informed BELTA correspondent. As explained by the department, the maximum utilization rate was achieved taking into account the physicochemical characteristics of Venezuelan Santa Barbara grade oil, which is processed at the enterprise simultaneously with Russian Urals grade oil. The enterprise receives 2-3 tankers of Venezuelan oil per month. The first train with oil from Venezuela arrived at the unloading rack at Naftan OJSC on July 31 this year. In August, the enterprise processed 160 thousand tons of Venezuelan oil. In total, according to the results of work for January-August this year, Naftan OJSC processed 5.3 million tons of hydrocarbon raw materials. Naftan OJSC processes other hydrocarbon raw materials (straight-run fuel oil, furnace fuel). As noted in the press service of the concern, in previous years, Naftan OJSC processed up to 10.7 million tons of oil, which made it possible to fully satisfy the region's demand for oil products, provide raw materials for the republic's petrochemical complex, and direct a significant volume of oil products for export. However, after the introduction of a full export duty on the volume of Russian oil exceeding 6.3 million tons, as well as the need to divide this volume between two refineries, it was decided to switch Naftan OJSC to an optimal operating mode of 7.8 million tons per year. This operating scheme made it possible to efficiently use the available technical capacities and meet the domestic market's demand for oil products. After the completion of the planned capital repair of the main technological units complex at Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, it will also start operating at full capacity. The Novopolotsk oil refinery (since September 2002 - Naftan OJSC) was commissioned in 1963. The enterprise is part of the Belneftekhim concern. It specializes in processing hydrocarbon raw materials and produces more than 70 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and automotive oils. The entire volume of diesel fuel is produced according to the Euro-4 and Euro-5 environmental standards. A significant part of the products is exported. -0-
