OJSC "Postavyfurniture" will master the production of log houses from planed timber in 2010

March 15, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. JSC "Postavyfurniture" will master the production of log houses from planed logs in 2010, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. About Br200 million will be invested in the implementation of this investment project. Russian-made equipment has already been ordered, and its delivery is expected in the second quarter. Commissioning is scheduled for the first half of the year. In accordance with the business plan, the enterprise plans to produce 1260 cubic meters of planed logs this year, and by 2014 to increase capacity to 2.1 thousand cubic meters. Initially, small-form products will be manufactured from this material: gazebos, saunas, etc. In 2011, it is planned to start manufacturing log houses. The implementation of the project will allow the enterprise to expand its product range, create 10 jobs, and increase sales profit by 1.5 times. The payback period is about 4.5 years. In total, this year JSC plans to invest about Br900 million in fixed assets. In addition to organizing the production of log houses, funds will be allocated to the opening of a vehicle wash station, the reconstruction of the main production building, equipment for the reconstruction of drying chambers, and the replacement of boiler equipment. In January-February, JSC "Postavyfurniture" produced products worth Br1.1 billion, which is 12% more than in the same period last year. Labor productivity increased by 7%. Exports grew almost threefold to $21.6 thousand. Supplies were made to Russia and Latvia. Sales profitability in January was 7.5%. The enterprise was founded in 1980. It specializes in the design and production of school and household furniture (50% of production volume each). The total number of employees is 207 people. The product range includes more than 100 items. -0-
