JSC "Technolit Polotsk" plans to master the technology of color casting by the end of the year

OJSC "Tekhnolit Polotsk" plans to master the technology of color casting by the end of the year, which will allow the enterprise to become one of the largest domestic enterprises in the field of sculptural and artistic casting. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the company's director, Leonid Petrov. Today, the enterprise is working on acquiring a special furnace for bronze casting and obtaining a license for this type of activity. Br300 million has been allocated from the innovation fund of the Ministry of Industry for the implementation of the project. The installation of the furnace and the mastering of color casting technology are planned to be completed by the end of the current year. The introduction of the technology will enable the enterprise, among other things, to master the production of souvenir products in the form of miniature sculptures. "We intend to recreate all the memorable places of Polotsk in miniature so that guests and tourists can take home souvenirs of the ancient city's attractions they liked," said Leonid Petrov. Currently, the joint-stock company is negotiating copyright compliance for the reproduction of works. In addition, "Tekhnolit Polotsk" is implementing a large-scale project to recreate the monument to the Heroes of the War of 1812 in Polotsk, with a cost of 44 million Russian rubles, allocated from the budget of the Union State. The company's specialists have fully prepared the molds for casting the cast-iron monument, and the lower and partially middle parts of the monument have already been cast. Work on the sculptural composition, 24 m high and weighing 120 tons, is planned to be completed by the end of the year and submitted for approval to the republican art council, noted Leonid Petrov. Polotsk casters intend to produce similar monuments for the Smolensk (Krasnoye village) and Kaluga (Maloyaroslavets village) regions of Russia in 2010-2011. Letters of intent with customers have already been signed, and financing issues are currently being resolved, added the director of "Tekhnolit". "Tekhnolit Polotsk" was founded in 1927. The enterprise specializes in the production of cast iron and metalworking products. In 2009, "Tekhnolit Polotsk" mastered the technology of sculptural and artistic casting. -0-
